With over 11'900 registrations, the maximum number of participants has been reached – yet another sign of the continued popularity of this traditional event in the heart of Basel.
Since September 1, we as the organizers have pointed out that this year’s City Run was attracting exceptional interest, and we strongly recommended early registration. Already last year, the trend was clear: the Family Run had to be closed one week before the City Run, and the remaining categories during the week of the event.
This strong demand was a clear indication that the capacity limit would be reached even earlier this year – which has now been confirmed. We thank all runners for their tremendous interest and look forward to a spirited running experience in the Basel city center.
At the same time, we are pleased to announce the date for the 43. Basler Stadtlauf: Saturday, November 21, 2026. We already look forward to welcoming you again next year!
