So much family spirit: the 2026 Family Run is fully booked – even sooner than last year! Thank you for your wonderful enthusiasm.
When we launched the Family Run in 2021, we could hardly have imagined how quickly it would become a firm fixture of the Basler Stadtlauf. Today, the event would be unthinkable without it.
Together with Mum, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa or other family members, participants follow the roughly 1 km route down Freie Strasse to the finish line on Marktplatz. The focus is on sharing the experience and enjoying crossing the finish line together, rather than on personal bests or rankings.
Last year’s strong demand gave us a hint of what was to come: places were once again highly sought after in 2026. Just three weeks after registration opened, 90 per cent of places had already been taken. The Family Run is now fully booked.
To all the families who missed out this time, we hope to welcome you next year. We look forward to seeing runners of all ages on 21 November and wish every participating family an unforgettable running experience!
